Jeckell In waving goodbye to a tumultuous music career, SinŽad O'Connor will leave her mark with *She Who Dwells in the Secret Place of the Most High Shall Abide Under the Shadow of the Almighty*. Due Sept. 9 from Vanguard, the lengthily titled set boasts one disc made up of rare and previously unreleased studio material and a few new songs, and a second with a concert performance captured in late 2002 in Dublin. Disc one will feature 19 tracks, including three covers produced by Brian Eno (U2, David Bowie). He was behind the boards for O'Connor's take on a version of the Chips Moman/Dan Penn song 'Do Right Woman, Do Right Man' (made popular by Aretha Franklin) and Boudleaux Bryant's 'Love Hurts'. Other covers include ABBA's "Chiquitita" and the B-52's 'Ain't It a Shame'. Among the previously unreleased cuts is a collaboration with Massive Attack on the song 'It's All Good', by Irish folk artist Damien Dempsey and Asian Dub Foundation on the cut '1000 Mirrors'. O'Connor also teams up with reggae artist Skip 'Little Axe' McDonald on 'My Love I Bring'. That track was included on the 2002 On U Sound compilation 'Chainstore Massacre'. The second disc was recorded at the Dublin venue Vicar Street on Oct. 26. The set touched on all aspects of O'Connor's career, from the well-known 'Nothing Compares 2 U' and 'You Made Me the Thief of Your Heart' to 'îro SŽ do Bheatha 'Bhaile' from last year's Vanguard album of traditional Irish music, 'Sean-N—s Nua'.
